Extending Your Vehicle's Life

Detailing is more than a cleaning process to make a vehicle look good. It is to help extend its life of the vehicle with methods and products that reduce damage from environmental elements such as dirt, sun and rain.

Indirectly, detailing is the restoration of a vehicle, to keep it looking as if it came from an auto dealer's showroom.

Detailing is generally broken down into two categories: exterior and interior. The most basic detail options include an exterior wash and wax, interior vacuuming, window cleaning and surface polishing.

Exterior detailing involves cleaning and restoring the original condition of the vehicle's surface (usually with a glossy finish), windows, wheels, tires and other visible components on a vehicle.

Interior detailing involves a deep cleaning of the whole interior. This includes synthetic carpet upholstery, vinyl, leather seats, roof and other accessories of the interior. Tools and techniques for this process may include steam cleaning, liquid and foam chemicals, as well as brushes.
